“Can you read latin? What does this mean?” he asked, taking the stone with his other hand and bringing it close to her face, she seemed distrustful of him, but she also obliged him, probably because she too wanted to run away from the consequences of their present reality.
“It means… Take one regret back.” She whispered, saddened again, “I would have been honest with my family.” She mumbled, her voice dripping with guilt.
“I would have never courted Miss Edwina.” He confessed, voice choked with honesty and desperation, her big eyes went to his and she seemed taken aback. As she opened her mouth to question him, the ground started to move and things around them startled falling from the shelves. Anthony moved closer to Kate and gathered her in his arms, trying to protect her and before he could ask her if she felt like something changed, he blinked and the earth stopped moving, but most importantly, he wasn’t in a closet on his wedding day anymore.
