He reached out grabbing my wrist, "Can you forgive me?"
“Please stop," I pushed his hand from mine and took a step back.
"I'm sorry about everything, but I just—" He reached out for me again, but I took another step back. He bit his lip stopping himself from speaking.
“Wei WuXian,” my tone came out harsher than I intended. His downcast eyes flitted around the ground between us before he took a few steps forward. This time I couldn’t bring myself to retreat.
"We don’t have to be like before," His voice wavered. "I just—I miss you so much. Seeing you again…I don’t think I can bear to be without you anymore."
I let him pull me into a hug, his cries threatening to free my own. I closed my eyes, collecting myself before pushing him off of me gently. Meeting his eyes, I whispered, "It'll pass."
