Summary
Uncas survives the promontory and Alice is sent back to England somewhat unwillingly, pining for her lost father and the native man she left behind in the Americas. She ends up living with her relatives in Scotland and letters pass between the sisters until one bit of unexpected news offers the opportunity to change the course of our Mohican characters' lives for good.
