“Sorry,” Inho speaks, gently with a smile, “Didn’t see you there.”
He expects the girl’s parents to come any moment now, a ‘There you are!’ from her eomma followed by some firm chastisement. But after several seconds pass, no one comes. That’s when he takes a moment and realises— the girl seems scared, her eyes wide and alert, brimming with tears, her face red.
This— this is not good.
