Summary
The Mad King's alchemists will see his will done, even upon his death. During Robert Baratheon's wedding to Cersei Lannister, loyal servants of the Mad King detonate stores of wildfire beneath the capital, destroying King's Landing and throwing the realm into chaos. Stannis Baratheon, estranged from his brother on Dragonstone is the sole surviving member of the Baratheon line and faces the grim task of rebuilding a realm thrown into chaos, all the while Targaryen loyalists scheme in the shadows, and far beyond the Wall a dark presence stirs. All hope is not lost though, as recovered from the ruin of the Mad King's folly is a single dragon egg, the last of it's kind and perhaps the realm's last hope.
