Big thanks to @wotvagyok for parallel writing with me, so I actually get this prompt done on time!

Work Text:

Friday was a good day. The weekend was about to start and Sebastian was on his way to his weekly pool session with Sam. Neither of them were pros but playing was still fun. Occasionally they'd bet money, though by the end of the night the winner would usually have spent it on rounds of beer.

Sam wasn't there yet when Sebastian arrived. The Saloon was still pretty empty at a few minutes past five. He decided to start racking the balls, but as he walked past the arcade machines something caught his eye.

Junimo Kart was turned on. For as long as Sebastian could remember it had always been off. Gus always said that he must've lost the key at some point. Sebastian had tried to research the game, but even the internet couldn't help him. The game just didn't seem to exist online.

Sure enough, when he checked a gnarly looking key was sticking out of the machine. Was that a… skull?!

Sebastian was even more intrigued. The art on the machine looked cutesy, a skull key definitely seemed out of place.

He chose Progress Mode for now. The loading screen was equally adorable with a little apple-looking guy hopping around in his cart. Once the level had loaded Sebastian instantly died because he wasn't prepared to jump so quickly.

One life lost, but thankfully the machine didn't cost anything, so he could die as often as he liked (or could stand the frustration of). The falling stones made it a bit more difficult but Sebastian managed the stage ok. Though he only picked up one of the three fruits in the top left corner — the grape.

The level Slippery Slopes sent him careening into the gaps between the rails and Seb was back to the start of the game. This time he managed to pick up all three fruits. He prepared himself mentally for Slippery Slopes again and… was sent to another levels instead.

??? appeared on the screen and Sebastian had already accepted dying again. Though this stage was surprisingly easy. Netting him a ton of coins and another three fruits.

He adjusted his jeans during the loading screen and then kept playing. And dying. And playing.

As frustrating as some of the mechanics were, Sebastian could feel himself getting better. Despite that he was sent to the start once more after being crushed in Slomp's Stomp. Sebastian had to chuckle at the name. Very creative.

This time he finished both the first and second level perfectly. No lives lost, all six fruits eaten. He stifled a burp as he made it to Slomp's Stomp again. The layout was much easier this time and he easily picked up the cherries, orange and grape.

Unnoticed by Sebastian his belly swelled with each piece. Some strange, ancient magic was imbued in the machine. Though it wasn't easy to determine whether it was benevolent or intent on hurting its players.

Sebastian was too focused on his game progress to notice his body's progress. A little starter belly swelled into a proper gut spread into wide love handles. Skinny legs turned into wide, cellulite riddled thighs.

Another fruit and his belly started hanging out of the bottom of his shirt before it caught up again. His jeans expanded too. From a modest size M to constantly increasing Xs. Even his underwear morphed with every magical pound. Loose boxer shorts turned into fat guy tighty-whities whose elastic bit into his skin. Same with the elastic of his socks, stretched tight around his thick ankles.

Gaming is exhausting, Sebastian thought as his breathing grew heavier. His open mouth breathing only makes his double chin more prominent. Another grape as he conquered Red Hot Rollercoaster and rolls of upper arm fat started hanging over his elbows.

All that was left now was Sunset Speedway. Seb tried to calm his breathing, he adjusted his stance to try and separate his thigh rolls a bit. Of course, that didn't work at his size. During the loading screen he quickly tucked his shirt back under his belly and then the final level started.

He had collected six lives for this level. There really was no way he could fail this. He got to the first check point without dying. Though the fruit wasn't necessary anymore in this level Seb was determined to get them all.

Cherries — his chubby cheeks made his eyes squint a bit more.

Orange — his sausage fingers made hitting the jump button just a bit harder.

Grape — his tits start to wrap around his sides, forming a thick roll that forces him to adjust his arms.

And then it was over. The little junimo met up with its friends and a message appeared on the screen:

You beat Junimo Kart!

Sebastian pumped his fist and wiped the sweat off his forehead. He automatically turned to the right and waddled his fat ass to the red sofa there. With a big sigh he let himself plop down. His arms rested heavily on his belly, he could feel the exertion of keeping them engaged the whole time to play the game.

The strangest feeling overcame him in that moment.

This wasn't right.

Panic surged through him as he really took in his body for the first time since he started playing. Where had the massive sack of a belly come from that was pushing his thighs apart? Hadn't he just sat on this sofa with Sam last week? And now his sides touched both arm rests.

Sebastian tried to get up but the new weight and soft cushions were fighting against him. He needed to get out of here, he needed to reverse this, he needed—

Sam strode into the room carrying a pizza and two beers. He didn't seem shocked by Sebastian's size at all.

"Sebby! Sorry, for the delay Gus had to replace the keg."

"Thank Yoba you're here, Sam! You have to help me up," Sebastian begged.

"Did I forget anything?" Sam seemed perplexed.

"No, but I have to—" the scent of pizza hit his nose, "I have to…"

The thought left his mind. It had seemed so important just a moment ago.

"I have to…," Seb repeated to himself.

Sam raised his eyebrow and handed Seb one of the pints.

"First, you should take a sip of that and then a piece of this," Sam raised the plate of pizza, "and then we're gonna keep working on cracking the high score on that new arcade machine."

Seb stewed on that forgotten thought a moment longer before he let himself be pulled to the present by Sam.

"Hell, yeah," Sebastian agreed and picked up a slice.
