Summary
Fantasy/Supernatural AU. No kings and no princes, just a family trying to survive.
- Maybe their parents had always lied to them. Maybe their life wasn't what they had imagined. -
Down in the plain, illuminated only by the full moon, a carriage was approaching. Her eyes, reduced to black pools, easily spotted the moving figure.
Six black stallions snorted as they advanced rapidly, their breath turning into clouds of steam, pulling a carriage of the same color. Their muscles twitched as the coachman's whip flicked against their ink-colored coats.
The coachman seemed unfazed by the icy wind that buffeted him with every step. His hands were bare, and his eyes were fixed relentlessly on the small house.Harwin moved to Rhaenyra's side as the horses passed them, kicking up low sprays of frozen snow, and the carriage stopped right in front of the family.
The coachman, a man with olive skin and black eyes, climbed down from his seat and hurried to open the door.
His feet, just like Harwin's, sank into the deep snow.
