Eclipse had been living with the celestial family for months now, he ended up befriending Earth and Solar mainly and was starting to build a better relationship with Sun and Moon. Solar even learned that him and lunar started hanging out. Solar did know Eclipse still had some issues with his trauma and moon leaving him. But he was told he was getting better. Earth mentioned eclipse had found some "Coping mechanisms" Solar decided not to prod on what those might be. He hung around with Eclipse more, his presence feeling more brotherly. They were both eclipses after all.
It was a stormy day, since it was the weekend everyone was doing their own thing. Moon was probably doing illegal stuff with Monty, Earth and Lunar were hanging out at her house, Roxanne had Eclipse's kids for the day, and sun had taken dazzle & jack to the Plex to play games. Solar came in from outside, pulling his hoodie off. He had to admit, it was good idea on Eclipse's end to make his body water proof. He kicked his boots off, the mud getting on the floor. He'll Have to clean that up before Sun gets home. He came into the kitchen, making himself some coffee. After a few moments Eclipse entered, Solar had forgotten Eclipse had stayed home. Eclipse's dog Clippy following him closely.
Solar seemed slightly worried when he saw tear streaks under Eclipses eyes, looking him up and down. Eclipse paid no mind, just looking through the cabinets for something. Solar looked him over, seeing him flinch at every sound of thunder. Solar spoke, "You okay?" Eclipse just hummed and nodded. Solar didn't believe him one bit. Solar just grabbed his coffee and sat on the couch in the living room, putting it on House MD(I have never watched this lol) After a few moments Eclipse was next to him on the couch, almost touching solar. Solar knew Eclipse didn't like affection, so this confused him.
"You sure you're good, bud?"
Eclipse didn't respond. Another flash and bang of lighting passed, Eclipse covered his face and let out a rather alarming whine. If Solar wasn't concerned before, he definitely was now. The dog whined and laid his head on Eclipse. Solar hesitated but soon pulled Eclipse closer, "Something's clearly up." Eclipse surprisingly relaxed in Solar's arms, out of the normal for him. Solar positioned him where he could hold him in a comfortable position, Eclipse being smaller than him in his new body. He held him nervously, Eclipse occasionally letting out scared whines. Solar was starting to piece it together.
He looked down at Eclipse, the smaller trembling. He was fidgeting with Solar's shirt, he now noticed Eclipse was biting his own hand. He pulled Eclipse's hand from his mouth, earning a whine of protest. Solar spoke up, "Hey clipse, How do you feel right now..?" He sat for another moment, but then mumbled quietly. "sssmall..." his speech was slurred and his voice was more quiet.
Solar sighed, "how small?" He stared at Solar as if processing, he then held two fingers up, but then did a double take and switched to one. He just shrugged and laid his head back on Solar. Solar had a slight shock, what happened to make him regress that small? "Since when do you regress..? Does anyone know?"
Eclipse stayed cuddled into Solar's side, feeling comfy with him there. He spoke quietly, "Earth and lu.." Solar nodded, he had to admit..It was kinda adorable. He stayed with Eclipse while continuing the show, Eclipse seemed to slip more, occasionally trying to talk but only succeeding with baby-like babbling. Solar just nodded along when Eclipse did so. He saw Eclipse chewing on his hand again, he pulled his hand away. "Don't do that bud, you're little but your teeth are still sharp." Eclipse just responded with a whine, tearing up a bit. He gave him puppy eyes, making solar feel bad.
Solar sighed, "Do you have any toys? Chewlery? Pacifiers?" Eclipse just whined again, too little to understand. He pulled out his phone and dialed Earth's number. Eclipse's tear filled eyes lit up when he saw Earth's face on the profile picture. "Sissy..?" Solar nodded, brushing off Eclipse's nickname for her for now. She answered in the third ring "Hello?" Solar was about to speak but was interrupted by the little "Sissy!"
Solar laughed a bit at that, "Hey, Earth." She giggled on her end, "Guessing you found out about this little guy?"
He sighed, looking down at the little going full koala mode with his arms wrapped around his waist. "Yeah..Does he have a pacifier or anything? Any teethers?"
Lunar immediately butted in, "Their in the basement, in one of the kitchen drawers."
"Thanks, guys. See y'all later." Eclipse waved at the phone, "Bye Sissy, bye lunie.."
Solar smiled, hanging up the phone and standing to go look for the stuff. Eclipse immediately whimpered and grabbed his pants, "No go!" He stared at eclipse, who had teary eyes. He sighed, he just decided to pick Eclipse up. He was a bit heavy, but still felt underweight for his size. Solar was surprised by this. The small dog stayed close to solar as he carried the smaller down stairs with him and sat him on a beanbag, he went to the kitchenette and looked through the cabinets, finding an orange and red teether and a black pacifier.
He came over and sat in the bean bag next to Eclipse, the things immediately catching his eyes. He let out a curious mumble. Solar held the objects out to Eclipse, the little hesitated. He seemed a little bit embarrassed, as if insecure about regressing. He reassured him, "You can take it, it's okay." He grabbed it and put it in his mouth, laying his head onto Solar and getting comfy. Solar smiled a bit and held him close. He looked at the TV then back at Eclipse, "What you wanna watch, bud?" He seemed to think for a moment before answering, "Blue!" He tilted his head before realizing, "Oh, Bluey."
He put the show on and the little giggled, cuddling close to Solar. After an episode or two Eclipse fell asleep on him, cuddling close to him. Clippy was now in solar's lap, his head on Eclipse's hand. Solar turned the show off and pulled a blanket over Eclipse. Eclipse still had the pacifier in his mouth. Solar looked him up and down, he had to admit, it was adorable. They stayed like that, solar soon falling asleep as well.
