Summary:

The assignment was meant to last only six months.

Not four years.

Everything was supposed to go smoothly.

Not end with him cutting all ties to the NYPD by the eighth month of the assignment.

It has been four years since Jake Peralta was "fired" from the NYPD, and three years and four months since he severed all ties with the NYPD and disappeared, choosing to start a new life within the Ianucci crime family.

Notes:

I am so NORMAL about undercover Jake Peralta, anyway.

I CANNOT stress ENOUGH that there are NOT enough undercover Jake fanfictions, so I am writing my own.

I have no idea where this is really going yet or how long it will be, but I am trying to post on a regular basis.
