Basically just me projecting onto Brooklyn Nine-Nine characters and having them process their issues with a children’s cartoon.

Summary
Hoytsman’s expression contorted, anger and annoyance and panic all at once. “Shut up, Peralta!” He snarled, brandishing his gun again. His hands were shaking — probably not from any sort of remorse for this situation he had put them both in, and more likely from copious drug usage.
“Oh, boy,” Jake mumbled, cringing back as best he could while tied to a chair.
S2E19, 'Sabotage', if Hoytsman was a little more unstable (ft. pre-Peraltiago, of course).

Summary
“I didn’t know you were such a lightweight, Byers,” he teases. The cool morning air hits Will like a punch on their way to the dining hall, and Mike's demeanour is a direct contrast from last night.
“Shut up. At least I go out sometimes. You’re a complete house mouse.”
“Okay, for your kind fucking information, I went over to Charlie's place three days ago, remember?”
“Yeah, to study. It's like New York made you even nerdier.”
“Oh, shut up. I'm not the one who regularly discusses, like, Plath with my classics professor.”
“I- hey! Classics are cool!”
Mike grins. “Yeah, to a nerd.”
***
New York, 1990. Will and Mike enter a new life away from Hawkins as roommates. Under the tutelage of Professor Kevin Cozner and Officer Raymond Holt, they navigate the chaos of the city- and find themselves along the way.

Summary
He traded his badge for a diaper bag, only to be blindsided by Amy's affair with a high-flying federal agent. Jake has spent the last year rebuilding his life from the ruins of his marriage. He's worked hard to ensure that he is the best version of himself and still the best detective that the 99 has ever seen. But he is completely unaware of new forces and new challenges that he will face as he navigates his new normal.
-- re-writing my first fan fiction, as I felt the story was too rushed.

“Detectives. This is Perseus Jackson, the new detective.” The captain said, his voice the same as normal, but seeming much deeper and almost booming. That's probably just the way anyone sounds when they say ‘Perseus Jackson’.

Summary
Shawn has always known his purpose. He makes humans miserable and he’s damn good at it. The thing is, Michael went and made hell freeze over and now he has nothing. So what else to do but to take Michael’s plan and do it better? Shawn strides out of hell and tumbles right into a life he is completely unprepared for. At least this police officer, one Raymond Holt, seams to be a constant he can rely on.

“Dear lord, are you sick?” he asks, quickly approaching the child; he presses his hand against their forehead before they can wiggle out of Holt’s grasp, a frown already appearing on their face. “My,” he mutters, retracting his head.
“Get off,” they grumble, shooting him a wounded look. “’m fine.”
He wouldn’t believe them even if they weren’t so congested that their voice sounded like they were snorting coke for half a day and the day before as well.

Summary
There are good days and bad days; there are cookies, cosy moments, cuddling on the sofa in the sitting room, wrapped snugly in a blanket, and there are movie nights. Sometimes there's some scolding. Or standing in the corner. And some mischief, too, of course.
First and foremost, there's family - one forged by bond, not blood, but just as strong.
(a collection of feel-good snippets because Daptain Holt is dad, and Kevin - by extension - is also dad, and - let's face it - Jake is definitely a good big brother)

Summary
Holt is there, in the waiting room, when they walk out of the doctor’s office; he drives them to the nearest pharmacy where they get their medication – all three kinds of it – and he drives them home, too.
He makes sure they eat something despite their medicine–induced nausea, and he stays with them – through thick and thin, the bad and the ugly.
Especially the bad and the ugly, because they really shouldn't be left alone in this state.

Summary
They aren’t particularly secretive about them; they roll up their sleeves at the precinct, and – whenever they swing by for the weekend – they usually sleep in short–sleeved pyjamas. Their left arm is unmarked by a single scar as far as Holt can tell; their right, however, is littered with them to the point of making it impossible to keep count.
All the way from their wrist up to their elbow, the inner part of their forearm is covered with white lines; some are thin, and barely visible, and some are about four millimetres thick – long gushes that probably should have been sutured, but – judging by the scarring – weren’t.
And there are scars on their hands, too – their knuckles, on their right hand more than their left. They are barely visible – a discolouration of their skin, a thicker part there, a strange shadow that never goes away.
He never mentions any of it.
But one day, they show up to the precinct with a bandage covering their hand; when Jake asks them if they punched someone, they laugh it off, and say they were so clumsy that they hit their hand while assembling a side table.
It wasn’t a side table, he's certain.
