Your hair falls down around you, creating a curtain that shrinks the world down until it’s just you and him. His violet eyes are twin storms that could burn the very cosmos. Your lips graze against his when you speak.

On Ch 4Ch 1Guilt eats away at the edges of your conscience. It condemns you for seeking comfort from a man who is capable of such malevolence. The hand that cradles your face so tenderly is the same hand that maims. His ledger is red. His boots and gloves are stained with blood.
Despite the horror, you feel at peace. It’s strange. Where you imagined you would feel panic, there is instead stillness. Where you thought you would shrink away from his touch, instead you lean into it.
