Summary
When he joined Ilya’s line as the center, he thought that having his husband by his side would be the best thing to happen to the two of them: they trusted each other, cared about the game, and cared for each other. Both him and Ilya had particular things about their hockey performance that kept them professional on the bench and he liked it like that. Shane felt that he and Ilya would be able to maximize their communication and production on the ice, or he hoped so. It was his beautiful husband under that helmet, after all.
