That’s how Izuku woke up. To silence and this time, no pain, just an itch down his back and arms. Izuku had noticed his mother was looking at him, definitely noticing that he was awake. She didn’t say anything. Izuku didn’t expect her to, but she just held him closer. “Mama. What’s wrong with me?” “I don’t know, baby, I don’t know how to help you.” Izuku didn’t want to hear that, but he had to. It was true. Something was wrong with him. “Can I still be a hero?” Inko was reminded violently about how young her baby was. “Of course, my baby. You already are, you're my hero, and you always will be.” “I’m tired mama.” “I know Zuzu, I know. Just a little longer for me. Please promise me a little longer.” “I don’t know mama, everything hurts”. “Let me protect you this time, please, my baby, just a little longer.” Izuku didn’t say anything more; he couldn’t, so he just nodded.
