Summary
“You need rest.”
Lucy doesn’t quite understand the panic that settles deep in her gut. “You won’t leave me, right?”
The Ghoul tilts his head, his face remaining unreadable as ever. “Golden rule, Sweetheart. ‘Sides, where would I go?”
She almost laughs. Instead, she simply shrugs her shoulders. “I’ll make this up to you.”
“How d’ya reckon you’ll do that?”
The only idea she has in mind is probably selfish. Just because she’s been craving it doesn’t mean he has the same desires. Heck, she doubts he thinks of her that same way. “I haven’t figured that out yet, but I will,” she says. “One way or another.”

AKA, after rescuing lucy from the legion and another attack afterwards, she wants to somehow make it up to the ghoul...she has one particular idea in mind but doesn't believe he'd ever go for it...until, that is, he's the one to suggest it and with actions rather than words
