Summary
When a New Year’s Eve call comes in, Detective Sean Kane thinks he’s looking for a typical party accident. He did not expect the town's first serial killer, a "painter" obsessed with the aesthetics of agony. As the bodies pile up from the seaside lighthouse to the depths of an abandoned factory, the investigation peels back the skin of the city itself.
In a city where the law is a suggestion and the past is a parasite, some truths are better left buried. Because when the trial ends and the shouting stops, the only thing left is the sound of the waves.The ocean doesn’t clean everything.
