Work Text:
The sheets were slipped halfway on the floor and the other half clinging to their hips.
Her head was settled on his chest, just below his heart, her leg tangled with his, and her fingers unconsciously brushing over the scar on his shoulder.
Joel pressed his lips to the crown of Tess’s head, running his fingers through her hair. She hummed to herself before sitting her head up, cracking a tired smile.
“We have to be up in a few hours.” Tess murmured.
“We’ve got until six, Tessa,” Joel replied, his hands moving to her hips. “You’re the one who is usually on top of that.” He teased.
Tess rolled her eyes with a smirk. “I didn’t hear you complaining about it earlier.”
She was able to get her hands on a satin pajama set, but it passed more as lingerie. A red cami top and flutter shorts. Safe to say it didn’t stay on her for very long, still long discarded on the floor.
“Red looks good on you.” Joel said, shifting her just enough that she’s fully on top of him.
“Just good?” Tess raised a brow.
He laughed through his nose, shaking his head. “It’s one of your colors.”
Tess smirked smugly, pressing her lips to his. “That’s better.”
Joel returned the kiss, groaning as she pulled away. “Bossy tonight.”
“But you still stick around,” Her hand brushed back some of his hair. “Unless you’re planning on getting rid of me.”
“Wouldn’t dream of it.” He held her wrist, kissing the inside of it.
Her smirk settled back into a smile, pressing her forehead to his. “Get some sleep, Tex.” She whispered.
"Yes ma'am." He murmured.
