   Summary

   In an original DC inspired universe, I have combined elements of comics, tv shows, mythology, and history. Join me in an original retelling of the legend of the Phoenix— her origin, her life, her rebirth, her deaths.

   Meet Maera Aurelius, the latest incarnation and avatar of the legendary Phoenix— not a bird, but a woman imbued with the powers of the sun and its long memory. She’s led an interesting life, starting in the legendary court of Prince Arthur. Considered a great sorceress of that time, she served under the great Merlin, and married the Knight Jason Blood.

   Not many know the finer details of Maera’s life. Most have not heard of her at all. Those who have heard of her almost never remember from where, or that she was real at all. One of the few that do was her third and final husband, John Constantine, who has heard some disturbing rumors about her life since their divorce.

   Only the gods know the truth of Maera’s final plan— one of fire and ash— and her own death.
