Summary
“Chase…. Where’s Beef?” He asked staring at the man before him. He had just woken from a bad injury and was in the infirmary. His dog was currently missing which was unusual even when he was injured. His son was always adamant about not leaving his side. Robert caught the look on his oldest friend’s face and the shift in the Z-team.
“Robert…” Blonde Blazer trailed off, his eyes darted to her cutting her off.
“Where. Is. My. Son.” He emphasized staring hard and repeating his question. Anxiety ate away at his bones. He had been brutally attacked. His apartment broken into and set ablaze. All the while he was and Beef was in it. He had bit struck so hard he was left concussed and unconscious in that burning building. It was meant to be his tomb. He hadn’t seen what happened to his Beef, but the anxiety ate at him. Threatened to spill over so quickly if no one answered his question. The missing presence was like a whole that was steadily forming in his chest. It was agonizing.
“He……” Invisigirl started before falling flat and shifted looking down ready to cry, anger written all on her face.
“He was taken….” Chase finished.

Summary
“We finally did it, Mads.” He smiled as he knelt, placing flowers on her grave. Before sitting against the tree that grew next to his grave. It was her favorite place to go when she was alive. “We finally found that peace and are finally safe.”
He had come back to her grave more often now. Almost every week at the same time with flowers. He would always sit with her and tell her about his week. About things that Beef did that made him keel over with laughter. About his found family and how he wished she were there with him to meet them.
He looked out over the city before him on that hill. “They look after me often now. Making sure I eat. Making sure I’m okay.” A smile was painted on his lips as he looked down at his hands.
“We plan to move into a house together. All of us. Though some of them, like Chad, say it’s to ‘keep my bitch ass from couch hopping.’” He chuckled at that. “I can’t remember what it was like to have that. To have this.” He felt his face flush slightly. “To be loved and cared for like this.”
