This went to absolutely no one's plan. The kidnappers weren't expecting consequences for their actions. Yugi and Yami finally had something of their own, only for that to be snatched away. Anzu wasn't expecting a simple assignment to be dangerous. Kaiba was hoping to keep his brothers out of this 'magic' stuff. There's one spirit who's highly amused by all this, however.

One of those fics where Spike’s enough of a not-asshole to be basically a different character… but I don’t care because it’s a nice story of its own filled with soft and lovely things. Sometimes it’s better this way. xP
