Gods trapped and chained as half-mad wardogs. Gods that turn the tides of entire wars when they take the field -- closely guarded and hard to restrain, harder still to pull back. Release them, and the world's a different place than it could have been.
But the gods have been fading and dying off because there's no worship left, not really. It's a shame; Tony's been interested in them, got that from Howard, but he's never going to meet one himself.
He didn't think to look for one in the family basement.

A (often very) canon-divergent recounting of the main game, all the DLCs, EpA Prologue, and Comrades era with Ignis as the main focus, though all the main characters are developed with respect to their canon characterization. Sort of a Doctor Who crossover, though no Doctor Who knowledge is required. The story is almost exclusively FFXV.

Artemis is a goddess of the moon, so of course the moon would shine right through her. She had blue, pupiless eyes (common for any god, due to their divinity), flourescent blue hair, light blue skin, and wears the simplest of dresses that does not even come across her knees. She wears her hair in braids, has a posture of a stern, cold, woman. She will always be the more intimidating of them both. She is the goddess of the moon, the hunt, archery, virginity, maidens, childbirth and nature.
And then there is Apollo.

[Please note: The first chapter was written well before I understood much about the various Laethic shards. As a result, there are references that actually describe multiple Laethas, but the chapter is meant to describe only one of the Laethas. To answer who they are intended to be, the best I can say is that it is supposed to be Asier, but they were also overlaid with many traits of the (non-collective) Firebird as well. Oh, and also in the first chapter, the Dierne is referenced solely as “he”, despite the god’s ability to shapeshift and their connection to many genders. In future chapters, there will be a lot more nuance specific to the Laetha and the Dierne and their complexity.]

While Chloe wrestles with the burning question--Can she accept, and even love, the Devil?--Lucifer and Amenadiel deal with their own complicated relationship. As angels in the Silver City, theirs was a very close and loving brotherly bond, and they devotedly groomed each other's wings. This story reveals how and why that changed, with many flashbacks, both heavenly and historical, including Lucifer's Fall and the scandal surrounding it involving Amenadiel.
Lots of angel lore and wings. This story is like a valentine for wing lovers.

An angel whose wings glimmered with starlight when evening fell. One whom plucked those stars from his feathers and placed them with gentle care into the sky, one by one.
And Aziraphale would applaud each birth of new light in the sky, kissing the freckles over his nose just as easily as his mouth.
There was no name yet for this feeling that stirred in his chest.
