Summary
Investigating the skill pillars, Fitzchivalry Farseer ends up in Camelot, where magic is both similar and very different to his own, a physician’s apprentice forces him to rethink the way he sees the world, and a dragon is kept in a cave under the castle. Old gods and creatures of magic clash with the new religion, and someone in this new land may hold the answers he seeks - if he can keep out of trouble long enough to find them.
Merlin is fed up of no one telling him anything, and decides to take matters into his own hands.
Kilgharrah just wants to know how his cousins are doing now he’s found out they’re not all dead. Why do these humans not listen to him?
Arthur is trying his best.
First person POV Fitz, because it feels wrong to write him any other way. It alternates later, he’s the only one in first person, I promise. This started off as excuse to do a POV outsider of Merlin, and write about magic, and has snowballed.

Honestly, Merlin had thought telling Arthur about his magic, and revoking the old laws would be the biggest obstacles to creating Albion. Really that had all been the easy part. After a few teary, but heartfelt conversations Merlin was installed as the new Court Sorcerer and together they set out to unite all the lands in peace.
Apparently the biggest setback was proving to be their marriage status or lack-there-of. Who knew so many people cared about whether a king or wizard had a spouse?

But they were still a ways away when two odd men claiming to be from a place called “Camelot” stumbled into them.
