Summary
In The Avengers, Natasha Romanova says "Love is for children." It's an expression of life as she knows it, and fits the harsh background most of the Avengers have experienced. Trouble is, people don't do very well without love. In particular it's impossible to form a good team if the members don't care about each other.
So Phil Coulson comes up with a teambuilding exercise to resolve that problem. If love is for children ... then he'll arrange that experience for them. The result is an exploration of nonsexual ageplay to allow a group of very powerful, very broken people to patch up some of the gaps in their lives.
Most of the stories are very sweet in tone and make for good comfort reading. However, canon gives these characters some very unpleasant pasts, and that comes up as they process the aftermath. So the tone does vary, and some stories are more intense than others. They deal with different characters, relationships, and sensitive issues.
Some folks have avoided this series for fear that it goes into sexual territory; it doesn't. Same with embarrassment, very low on that.

Grian is back in England after a decade in the States, settling into business classes and hiding his cat in a dorm he technically shouldn’t have. Seeing his friends again is a breath of fresh air and meeting an attractive dude on his flight that happens to be attending the same university him was certainly a bonus.
With Scar adapting to the differences between America and England, and Grian finally feeling at home after ten years, the two grow close.

Routine maintenance of Commander Data what something somewhat sacred to Geordi, because he was the only one trusted to help with it. Every other week, the pair would find a secluded part of engineering, typically somewhere near the warp core, Data would remove his shirt and undershirt, and they'd use the twenty or so minutes it took to run the diagnostic and correct whatever needed correcting to make conversation.
He didn't know exactly why he did what he did.
He just suddenly felt the urge to trace symbols and patterns and letters on Data's back. The android's synthetic skin was smooth, and it felt nice under his fingers. Unconsiously, he moved his hand, spelling out the words 'I-L-O-V-E-Y-O-U'.

Katsuki Bakugou had a particular talent for identifying anyone he perceived as competition, and for reasons Izuku had never fully understood, Katsuki had decided within their first month of freshman year that Izuku qualified. They'd met at some dorm mixer, been introduced through mutual friends, and within ten minutes had been locked in an argument about something Izuku couldn't even remember now. What he did remember was the way Katsuki's eyes had narrowed, assessing and dismissive all at once, and the way he'd said,
"You're one of those people who thinks reading books makes you smart."
Izuku had responded, "You're one of those people who thinks being loud makes you right."
It had gone downhill from there.
Or, Izuku Midoriya gets stuck in a psychology project with his apparent sworn-enemy Katsuki Bakugou. Turns out his Psychology Major really doesn't help when applied in real life.

If you actually fired that thing, it’d blow up in your face. Assuming you could even get it to power up, which you can’t, because your wiring’s a mess. The targeting system? It’s way off. I bet you couldn’t hit me if I was standing still. And the coolant system—wait, do you have a coolant system? Because that thing’s about five seconds from overheating.”
