What if Giyuu actually got to the Kamados in time?
Except he survives- and so do Nezuko and Tanjiro, both human.However, Muzan's poison isn't easy to cure. When the three must flee, the poison spreads so far Giyuu has no choice but to cut off his hand. And by the time Urokodaki finds them, Giyuu's barely hanging on. His arm is the next to go.
Now declared missing by the corps, crow injured, there is no way to reveal the truth that he's alive. And his condition is getting worse... Day by day, he gets weaker. Tanjiro's left panicking over the realization that they have to cut off his arm. He starts to slowly, slowly lose himself. Who's going to save him?

Summary
After Sabito’s death and Giyuu’s entry into the Demon Slayer Corps, Giyuu receives his first mission. During it, he meets the Kamado family, who treat him like one of their own from the very beginning. Because of this, he can’t help but visit them again and again over the years.
A few years later, when Muzan wipes out the family, Giyuu decides to leave the Demon Slayer Corps, take Tanjiro and Nezuko—who have since become demons—with him, and disappear as far as possible.

Two pretty yellow and orange ears had sprouted atop his head. His regular ears were gone and when he opened his mouth to take a breath eight sharp k-nine teeth peaked though. His hands which were laid gently next to his head adorned sharp claws. Tanjiro peaked a little further under the blanket and saw a fluffy tail curled up around Zenitsu's torso.

His fingers dug into the fabric of his sleeves until his knuckles blanched white. “We-we-we-we— we don’t even like each other! He broke my fingers the first time we met! Why… why did we even— why did I let—” His breath hitched, shoulders jerking forward like he’d been punched mid-sentence.
Genya’s throat tightened. He could still see the faint crookedness of Tanjiro’s left ring finger where Gyutaro had snapped it sideways—could still remember Tanjiro’s scream while Inosuke lost his shit in the background, nearly taking his own older brother’s head off with a damn thirty pound weight Inosuke had hurled at him from across the room. Genya swallowed hard. “You didn’t *let* anything,” he growled. “We were fucking wasted. And Gyutaro’s a manipulative piece of shit who knew exactly what he was doing.”
Tanjiro’s breathing hitched again, uneven. His hands hovered near his stomach before flinching away like he’d been burned. Genya’s gut twisted. He could count on one hand the times he’d seen Tanjiro cry.

Giyuu opened his eyes startled. He never talks about his mother.
He looked over at Sanemi to see him looking completely relaxed on the grass with his hands behind his head. Instead of looking at the sky, as Giyuu thought he would, Sanemi looked directly at Giyuu, with a softness in his eyes he knew he didn’t deserve. Giyuu was something dark and ugly. Just as dark as the bottom of the ocean. Samemi was kind and free just as a soft breeze, even if he always gets mistaken for a wild storm.
Giyuu tried pushing the negative thoughts out of his head and focused on speaking instead. “What did she tell you?” The tone in which the words were said held only love and adoration. Sanemi brows furrowed and his gaze held a warning. He had seen right through him. Giyuu ignored it and continued to wait for Sanemi’s reply.
Sanemi signed and turned his head towards the sky. It was filled with shining stars. One day he hoped that the one next to him could shine just as brightly.

Summary

Tanjiro had always seen couples between a man and a woman. He was very open minded, but when he really thought about it, he never pictured himself with a man. But as Inosuke and Tanjiro had gotten closer over missions and training, something suddenly changed in Tanjiro's perspective, it started to combat what he thought he knew about love.
As Zenitsu, Nezuko, and Tanjiro go to rescue Inosuke from the Entertainment district, the brash and calm couple try to sort out their feelings for each other as they realize their friendship has grown into something more.
