None of this was supposed to happen. The Doctor wanted to live in the present. Spending her last days in this body with the woman she loves. Not asking for more. Just simply being. But then her luck ran out.
aka the one where the Master takes Yaz's memories, makes the Doctor feel them, and gives her an ultimatum.
(inspired by /that/ clip in the centenary trailer which I'm refusing to accept is regen related, so I came up with a v angsty, but hopefully overall slightly happier, alternative)
