Summary
In this AU, inspired by the work Where the Morning Star Fell, Lucifer has mysteriously developed bipolar disorder at some unknown time before a suicide attempt in February 2018. Linda, in her capacity as a psychiatrist; Amenadiel; and Michael, who has been secretly working as a surgeon in Los Angeles for two years after being abruptly dismissed from his Heavenly duties by God, work to settle him and make sense of how an angel could have seemingly suddenly developed this while multiple stressors bloom around them, threatening Lucifer's stability and what's left of Michael's blind faith in their Father.
During the series, which starts in February 2018 when Trixie is almost nine, Lucifer and Chloe get married and have their younger daughter, Aurora, in April 2019.
There is a lot of focus on the traumatic sequelae of Lucifer's fall from Heaven and alienation from his family of origin as well as his unwillingness to allow his loved ones to know that Linda diagnosed him with complex post-traumatic stress disorder (C-PTSD) in late 2016.
It ends in 2058, almost fifteen years after Chloe's death.

He watches her as she rounds the couch, not even sparing a glance in his direction, and plops onto it like a sad sack of potatoes. She reaches for the remote and then draws her knees up to her chest, making herself look even smaller. He notices she doesn't change channels or open Netflix, and it's that, a young girl watching the news channel albeit muted that makes him move towards her.
Adjusting his rolled up sleeves, he carefully approaches the couch wary of her reaction, he doesn't want to upset the Detective by upsetting her offspring. And, he might as well admit it to himself, he also just doesn't want to upset Trixie, she's dealing with enough for her age.
"The news? That's hardly an uplifting program. Is something the matter, child?"

As Lucifer walked across the room towards the Detective's desk, he noticed that the figure sitting there was definitely not the Detective. The figure was quite a bit smaller, and much more inclined to sticky hands and impulsive hugs. She, however, didn't seem to notice him and was rather subdued. He thought it was strange to see her so unlike her usually happy and (unfortunately for him) clingy self. So much so, in fact, that he found himself making his way over to her and asking (without thinking or really even being conscious of the act), "What's wrong, child?"
Beatrice Decker jumped and tried to smile at him when she realized who had approached her. "Hi, Lucifer..." she said instead of answering his question.
"Yes," he replied absently, trying to think about anything else but the child in front of him (he couldn't). He watched as she looked down at the table; she didn't even try to hug him as she usually did. "Spawn," he called to get her attention. When she looked up at him, he found himself kneeling down to her level. "What's the matter, darling?" he asked, his voice gentle and soft (so unusual when applied anyone who wasn't his Detective).
