Summary
Lucifer gets badly injured, has no recollection of what happened and is suspect in a murder investigation. He struggles with the traumatic repercussions of his injuries, but works with Chloe to fill in the blanks of his story. When another body is turning up with a detail that connects to Lucifer, they find that they may have bitten-off more than they can chew.
Heavy angst, slow build towards healing. Mind the Tags.

Excellent, if dark, story of Chloe’s recovery from a year of captivity by a psychopathic magician, with a *lot* of help from her friends. An intriguing gradual reveal and an earned happy ending.

Summary
In this AU, inspired by the work Where the Morning Star Fell, Lucifer has mysteriously developed bipolar disorder at some unknown time before a suicide attempt in February 2018. Linda, in her capacity as a psychiatrist; Amenadiel; and Michael, who has been secretly working as a surgeon in Los Angeles for two years after being abruptly dismissed from his Heavenly duties by God, work to settle him and make sense of how an angel could have seemingly suddenly developed this while multiple stressors bloom around them, threatening Lucifer's stability and what's left of Michael's blind faith in their Father.
During the series, which starts in February 2018 when Trixie is almost nine, Lucifer and Chloe get married and have their younger daughter, Aurora, in April 2019.
There is a lot of focus on the traumatic sequelae of Lucifer's fall from Heaven and alienation from his family of origin as well as his unwillingness to allow his loved ones to know that Linda diagnosed him with complex post-traumatic stress disorder (C-PTSD) in late 2016.
It ends in 2058, almost fifteen years after Chloe's death.
