Summary
For most of human civilization, it was impossible to figure out who the person you’re best suited to spend the rest of your life with was. But people forget that the impossible can always become possible. And so, project RSOF (the red string of fate) was born.
People will tell you many things about the red string of fate. They will say it’s the best thing that has happened to them, and some others, a very small number of people, will say it’s the worst.
If you ask Yoongi, he will tell you it doesn’t matter - he knows it’ll be Seokjin anyways.

Summary
Project RSOF, the red string of fate, enables everyone to find their perfect half (or: halves.) It's complicated algorithm, one that took decades to perfect, but it only needs 20+ years of your life to help you find someone that seems to be made for you.
Yoongi and Seokjin fall in love before either of them receive their string, and they don't worry - Yoongi is confident that the red string that arrives will connect them together.
There is a lot to be said, in how there's a very large possibility that it won't.

Summary
Break ups, soulmates, they're a lot more anti-climatic than you think. Part of Yoongi will never give up Seokjin and the other part of him is already clinging on to someone new.
It all happens so fast that Yoongi can barely wrap his head around it all. The idea that something as organic as love could be reduced to a flawless formula.

Summary
“What’s up?” Namjoon asks, sitting in his chair again, swiveling it to face Taehyung who anxiously shifts his weight and fiddles with the string.
“Um.”
Namjoon raises an eyebrow but waits, clasping his hands patiently in his lap.
“Have you ever heard of someone… not being able to see their string?” Taehyung asks. “Like, hypothetically.”
“You mean the red string?” Namjoon seeks to clarify, and Taehyung nods, chews his lower lip. “I haven’t, no. Why? What brought this on?”
Taehyung doesn’t want to say anything, doesn’t want to give himself away, but it feels like Namjoon is looking into his soul.
“Nothing, I just… heard about it. Somewhere.”
Namjoon furrows his brow. “I thought you weren’t interested in that stuff.”
“I never said I wasn’t interested,” Taehyung mutters. “I just didn’t know if you’d heard that rumor before, that it was possible, and I couldn’t find anything online, so I thought… you know, you know stuff.”

He wants to tell him, wants to confess, needs Jimin to know how much he loves him back, but he doesn’t want to do it over text. He slowly makes his way back to the apartment, head pounding suddenly, tears sliding over his cheeks, and he wipes them away before he goes inside.
Taehyung walks to Jimin’s room on autopilot, knocking lightly. “Jimin-ah, please. Can I come in?” There’s no response, so he tries the handle but it’s locked, Jimin is definitely inside. “Please, let me in?”
He’s met with silence again, and he turns his back to the door, sliding down until he’s on the floor, knees tucked up under his chin. He stays there, thinks Jimin has to come out sometime, and he can wait.
He must drift off at some point because Yoongi’s suddenly waking him, crouched down to his eye level. “Hey.”
“Hey,” Taehyung answers, voice thick with sleep and from crying.
“What’s going on? Dumplings again?” Yoongi jokes, but it’s soft, just trying to break the tension.
“Something like that,” Taehyung answers.
