MAJOR DIVERGENCE -- with AU Elements. 5yo Light is taken to the Wammy house after his parents were murdered on his birthday. There, he meets the 'original' Wammy house kids (a.i. L, BB, A, etc.) He was given the letter K (for Kira, although he never uses that name), and upon his first week in the house, he was already competing with L for the top spot. [Very grim. Dark tone. Mature themes. Violent. Suicide. Murder. Gore. Underage Sex. And other trigger subjects so be careful!)
THOUGHTS -- It's a favorite for me. I've read it once before, but I don't think I really liked it then (cause I didn't really know anything about the Wammy house at all). Reading it for a second time (years later lol) helped with that though! And finally, I was able to enjoy the nuances of this really dark psychological/suspense thriller -- or whatever it is.
It's written very well. Prose is not too flowery, and the character voices are on point, making the story very engaging. Characterizations? Well, I like that the story is mostly character-driven (with just a hint of mystery and suspense brewing throughout to keep things exciting). I'm not sure I necessarily agree with Light's characterization, but at the same time, it's perfectly believable?? Overall, it was just very interesting getting to know all the different characters here (even the OC ones.)
Anyways, I would definitely love to read this again one day!

ENDVERSE!CAS & MOCDEMON!DEAN -- Basically, EndVerse Cas uses up the last of his grace in what he thought was a permanent death of sorts. Instead though, he gets sent to an alternate universe (where MOC!Dean was not cured). The author explains all this in the beginning. The rest of the story is pretty much relationship-building. Not the healthiest kind. But, fitting for these versions of Cas and Dean.
THOUGHTS -- It's a great read! A favorite, even. I've been looking for a Demon!Dean fic for a while. I haven't read much that I enjoyed (or any at all, I seriously cannot remember any right now). This one is gOLD though. And not just because it involves EndVerse!Cas (seriously these two just FIT). It's very well done. Not your average romance story, of course. They're not really all the healthy. But, for Destiel? It's actually a lot healthier than most lol. They get their HEA too (their version of it) -- and that's not a spoiler because the author mentions this in the beginning too. So yeah, worth the read if you're looking for something to spice up your Demon!Dean portfolio (I still cannot believe that the show got rid of him so quickly T.T To be fair, they also got rid of GodStiel pretty quickly. They should have let the boys be more evillllllll -- if only for the beautiful character growth, which is very nicely portrayed in this fic.
All in all? Worth the read if you are okay with darker themes. It's a lot less angsty than the premise sounds too. Would definitely read this again one day.

TITANSHIFTER!EREN — In which Eren is a Titan that is able to shift into a human! At the moment, this appears to be a unique ability of his. And it allows him to immerse himself in the life inside the walls. The story is definitely more focused on survival. Starting with life before the walls, and then the fall of Maria. Eren joined in the fight and got attacked by a human, leaving him in his vulnerable human form, where he ends up finding Mikasa and Armin. From there on, it’s about learning how to be human. And later, hiding what he is from the people who may have cause to hurt him.
THOUGHTS — Ahh this is a great read! The writing is a bit clumsy, but not bad overall! It reads well and is well paced too. With just the right amount of worldbuilding and relationship building. This Eren is a pretty fun character to read too. He’s different from canon!eren (even more naive and unashamed), but still very much the Eren we get to know from the start of the series, it makes for some pretty funny scenes and insightful ones too! I’m curious about where the author is planning to take this next. Assumedly, things will be a bit different because of the AU elements in this one that makes this more canon adjacent than canon compliant. So I guess we’ll just have to see!
I’ll keep an eye on it, and will definitely reread it in the future!
