“What was what?” Knight Sei asked.
“That part about being trapped in the caves forever. Why did you say it like that?”
Knight Sei flicked a quick glance at their watching audience, and said, still smiling, “Well, the waterfall will freeze once the sun is no longer hitting the crystal above us. So they need to be quick about finding their kyber, or they’ll be stuck on the other side of the ice.”
“I’m sorry,” Mace said. “Why would you tell them this?”
“Knight Sei’s smile became a little fixed. “It’s standard policy, Master Windu.”
“What is? Scaring kids?”
Or: Mace realizes that raising the first child doesn’t mean you are in any way prepared for the second one.

Summary
I had been incredibly skeptical when Ratthi had sent me ‘Midnight Eclipse.’ I knew what fanfiction was, I had seen it in the more niche entertainment feeds before. Never specifically for Sanctuary Moon, but I'd assumed it existed. That didn't mean I had any actual interest in it, though. When I had first looked at them, I hadn't liked them. The quality varied too much and a lot of them weren't finished, or were really short, or really out of character. And I hated that. I really really hated that.
This one was different.
