    When Dib turned 18, he made a deal with his father: he would give up his paranormal research, go off to university, and work at Membrane Labs; in return, he would never have to worry about money ever again. It’s been a few years now, and Dib has completed his side of the deal early. Now he’s stuck working in a sterile, boring laboratory studying whatever it is his father assigns him.

    Things come to a head, however, when Dib is knocked overboard while on a marine expedition and is subsequently rescued by an eccentric pair of old men. Soon enough, Dib finds himself spinning a web of lies that leads him to a sleepy town known only as Gravity Falls.

    All to study mushrooms of course. Or at least that’s the reason his father thinks Dib is so keen on exploring this small town in the middle of nowhere. No other reason…

    Because of this newfound revelation, Dib starts seeing Zim in a different light, as a victim of sorts, to this mind altering machine.
    Vowing to himself that he will free Zim of this vile virus, in the end he ends up with a much bigger problem on his hands...
