It’s apparent the cell is made for two people, but the space is so minimally decorated that Enid had assumed she was the only inhabitant. And evidently, there is no cellmate present.
“Where is she?” Enid asks, now noting the stack of books on one of the desks.
“In solitary.”
She’s afraid to ask, but the guard’s gradual shift in tone—strict and no nonsense, to almost hesitant—and her own undying curiosity get the better of her.
“What for?”
“Strangling a guard with her braid. She was quite unhappy to hear that she has a new bunkmate.”

Wednesday Addams, daughter of donors to and teachers at the Conservatoire, should already be out in the field, taking on contracts and eliminating targets. Instead, her parents have insisted on her completing her formal training. And doing so while following all of the pointless rules and customs of the institution. Including by having a roommate...
Enid Sinclair has grown up in 'The Pack,' a vicious criminal syndicate, which the Conservatoire gives her the chance to escape. She only hopes that this strange, elusive academy can let her channel the talents that one is forced to learn within the Pack to make a difference in the world. Surely assassinations should mean something?
Along with the rest of the 'Wednesday' dramatis personae, this AU explores a version of Wednesday and Enid who still meet at school, but one of a very different kind. The stakes are deadlier, but so too might their emergent feelings be. Will one of them get 'taken out' by the other, before they can get 'taken out' instead?
