“What’s going on?” Maria asked.
“I don’t know,” Shadow replied, getting off the bed and walking to the door. After hesitating, Shadow opened the door and followed the sounds down the hallway to the main entrance.
There were bolts of blue lighting dancing across the room, and guards went down left and right by something too fast for anyone to see. The guards fired into the room, panicked, but the blue blur of lighting was relentless and soon no one was left standing.
Shadow stood at the edge of the room, eyes and mouth agape as the blue blur finally stood still, standing over the unconscious guards. It was a hedgehog! It looked like–
“Shadow,” Maria breathed out, appearing beside Shadow. “He looks just like you.”

And you know what? He is completely justified in wanting to put some rumors to rest by finding out about the good old Easter Bunny's past. Even if a part of his brain whispers it's an obsession, and the part that says he should listen to his friends advice in just asking the guy about it. But it's just not that simple!
Or at least, Jack doesn't see it that way.
