“Uh, Logan, this is-”
“Peter Lehnsherr,” Logan finished. His words made the kid look up at him in surprise. “You're Charles and-... you're Charles’ kid.”
“Do I know you?”
“...No. No, we never got to meet but, well let's just say I've heard a lot about you from your dad.”

“There was something on the news yesterday,” the professor spoke as Peter opened a large encyclopedia that was probably older than the house itself. “Denmark has become the first country in the world to recognise same-sex unions.”
“We all saw that,” Peter told Charles, accepting the teacup handed to him. He didn't like tea but he didn't want to be rude, “it got everyone talking.”
Something… hesitant flashed across the professor's face. His hand shook a little as he reached for his own teacup, in a way Peter hadn't seen since Charles was recovering from his ordeal in Cairo and was too weak to do much for himself for a while. But this seemed different. It seemed more out of… worry? Fear?
Why would the professor be afraid?
