The first time he had dreamt about John he had been in Peru. He had been “dead” a little over a month, squatting in a tiny rented room, the heat and the stains on the walls making him slightly claustrophobic. It had been a nice dream: John and he eating take away Chinese in their kitchen, a song coming from Mrs. Hudson's radio downstairs, something about friends and lovers and how no one compared with him, his mind supplied in his dream.

The morning following the trial, Stolas struggles to process all that has happened.

Summary
Stolas' healing begins the day after the trial, though it doesn't exactly feel like healing.
He wakes up in Blitz's apartment, surrounded by Blitz's warmth and caring, none of which Stolas thinks he deserves. The last thing he wants is to be a burden, especially to Blitz.
As that first month progresses and the full moon approaches, Blitz and Stolas try to navigate this liminal space between knowing that they are in love with each other and being able to fully accept and act on that love.
So much has happened. So much is still uncertain.
At least neither of them have to navigate this new life alone.

Almost dying is something Blitzø is oh so intimately familiar with—he's an assassin, for fuck's sake. Brushes with death are a part of the job description. Public executions, though, maybe...maybe not quite as much.
Realizing he's maybe kind of actually important to people? Yeah, no. That's. That's pretty fucking new.
So is the dawning understanding of the depth of these—these feelings he's fumbling with for the guy now sleeping there on his couch.
All this to say that everything's so goddamn fucked, right now, and he's gotta do what he can to pick up the pieces.
