[SPOILERS FOR S2E7]
.

And at first, he’s sure she’s a hallucination. But there’s an angry bruise on her cheek that hadn’t been there the last time he saw her. Wherever it is her daddy had taken her, she’s fucking broken out already. And she’s here. Pointing a gun at his face. Her own an angry mask, bleeding another kind of hurt.
He doesn’t bother trying to fight it. She might as well. Hell, he’s not even mad at her.
He deserves this.

The person who saves the Ghoul from going feral on that old lamppost is the one he leasts expects- the one that put him there. Lucy MacLean. -

[S2E5 SPOILERS]

The silence is deafening.
Ever since she stepped out of Vault 33, there’s been nothing but noise. Gunshots, shouts, and screech of some irradiated creature. The whisper of the wind. The click of his inhaler as he sucked in another vial.
It feels so wrong, being alone. Being in a vault, again.
She doesn’t even know if he’s still alive.

In which Lucy needs (and receives) a confirmation. -

The light coming from the screen of Lucy’s Pip-Boy is black beneath the crimson sirens. It blends with the shadows cast across her face. She looks anxious.
A part of him wishes that he had the humanity left to feel the same.
They’re in over their heads.
He should’ve left her at Jameson’s when they dropped off Dogmeat. Shouldn’t have let her talk him into this fool’s errand. They should’ve waited. Should have come up with a better plan. Something safer.
The Ghoul should have walked into his final stand alone.

Summary
"Jack."
When he finally speaks after several moments, she almost doesn’t hear his voice. Because it’s quiet. Formal. Devoid of his usual odd charisma. “Is there somethin’ ye need, Miss Swann?”
“I just wanted to say that I didn’t enjoy it. Leaving you for dead.”
.
.
In the Locker, Elizabeth and Jack discuss mortality and the return of one Hector Barbossa. -

“Your daughter,” Lucy says patiently, gently, the way she’d talk to her students back in Thirty-Three. “Tell me about her.”
“No.” There’s a glint of steel in his eyes as he says it.
Lucy shrugs. “Okey-dokey.”

Summary
"I heard about Cinta,” he says, when he stops behind Vel, a respectful distance away. Swallows uncomfortably when she turns to face him. Not your fault, he tells himself. Not your fault. “I’m sorry. I- I told Luthen that Ghorman was a lost cause. He shouldn’t have sent you. She shouldn’t have had to die. Not there. Not like that.”
Cassian lets his gaze drop to the ground. Because standing there before her, seeing the grief in her eyes, watching those emotions flicker across her face- it's too much. Vel has always preferred hiding that side of herself from him, of pushing and shoving and being forceful when it comes to him, so he won't force himself upon her now. Won’t let himself take in her vulnerable side without permission. He'll even leave, if she asks him to.
But she doesn’t.
.
.
Luthen goes against Cassian’s advice and sends a team to Ghorman. He can’t help but feel a little guilty about being involved at all when he hears how it went down. One quiet night on the new Yavin IV base the week after, Cassian and Vel speak of loss and of having the strength to continue on. -

Summary
“Looks like it’s hot off the fire,” Cooper remarks, dumbfounded.
And it turns out, of course, that he should've kept his fucking mouth shut. The moment his voice slices through the silence, a pair of goddamn turrets pop out of the earth on either side of the door like angry flowers. They are dustier than the vault door, but they lock onto the Ghoul and his companions as quickly as a brand-new set would, dual barrels swiveling at an alarming speed. The fact that they don't fire is a miracle, because even his well-established reflexes never would've outpaced the turrets.
The Ghoul jerks to a stop, exhaling harshly at the tail end of his sigh. Of fucking course.
.
.
Cooper’s world turns upside down when he and Lucy stop at a seemingly-inconspicuous vault after collecting on their recent bounty.Series

Summary
"You're pretty good at it. At pretending like you don't care."
He lifts his hat from his eyes, and levels her a look. "Well,” he drawls in response, because he does not care. Doesn’t need her getting it in her head, either. “I was an actor, sweetheart."
.
.
Before confronting Hank MacLean, Lucy and the Ghoul need to make some caps and restock their supplies for what comes after. This takes them away from New Vegas, and Cooper finds himself grappling with how far he’s fallen as he imparts more Wasteland knowledge upon his protégé. After all, this may very well be only the beginning of their adventures together.Series

Summary
And, fuck, that vault-bred optimism really is something. Because the girl just raises her chin, says, "She'll lead us there,” with all the confidence she’d had when she’d dumped the vials into his hands and abandoned him at the Super Duper Mart, and starts trying to haul him back upright. "Come on, Coop. Have some faith. We'll get there, get you some help, and then we'll get back to finding my dad."
We’ll see. He grunts. “Got fifty miles left to go, Vaultie. Really think you can drag me that far?"
“Yep!”They are so fucking dead.
.
.
Hank MacLean leads them on a wild, winding path en-route to New Vegas. One that costs the Ghoul each and every vial he’d collected from the Super Duper Mart. Luckily, he’s got a companion to look out for him this time.Series

“No, come on. We got to keep moving,” he urges. “Come on.”
Glenn feels hands grab at the back of his jacket, starting to haul him up, and then Coulson jerks to an abrupt halt.
There’s a sudden, familiar hum, and a whoosh of air. The sound of a body getting thrown into the snow somewhere further back. A few figures emerge from the woods behind Coulson- “You got your powers back,” he’s saying to someone- and then Daisy Johnson’s voice startles him back to himself. “...Talbot? What are you doing here?"
Glenn pushes himself up into a crouch with a groan. “F-freezing, thank you very much.”
.
.
In which Talbot regrets being freed from HYDRA.Series

Summary
Moldaver limps over to the computer- the last light in a darkening room- and slams her hand down on a button.
The Ghoul steps further back into the room and tilts his head. “What’s the point? You’ve lost, woman. That ain’t gonna sit there more than a pretty minute b’fore they take it.”
She turns towards him, scrutinizes him for a moment before the recognition sets in. “Why, Mr. Howard, you know this was my life’s work. I think a dying woman’s earned the right to see it come to fruition, however briefly.”
His eyes flick down to the wound on her abdomen, and he finds himself frowning a little. “Well, if one of us fuck-overs gets to die happy, who am I to deny ‘em such a thing?"
.
.
Hank MacLean isn’t the only ghost that the Ghoul speaks with before he leaves the Observatory, vault-dweller in tow. (Aka, that scene combined with Moldaver’s death. Because I really wanted to see how she would have interacted with Cooper if she’d met him one last time). -

Summary
His head makes first contact before the rest of him- and, fuck, it hurts- and he rolls down the last few feet of the slope half-conscious, blood dripping into his eyes. Sugarfoot comes to a stop only inches behind him, breathing labored, a smattering of red spreading over her broad white chest. Dying.
Roosevelt’s standing over him, snarling, and that’s when it hits:
She’d had him fucking tracked. They were never safe to begin with.
.
.
[Series prologue]. There’s a reason that Cooper Howard loses his daughter despite her being with him when the bombs drop. That, of course, is Vault-Tec and their fancy technology. And his wife.Series

And the Limitations of Immortality by Buckhunter
Fandoms: The Librarians (TV 2014), The Librarian (Movies)

Summary
There are many types of immortality in the magical world. Any person who’s ever worked in the Library has crossed at least one of these. Some of those people even have immortality themselves. Outsiders, people of society, mainly associate immortality with eternal youth.
They are not wrong.
Most immortalities prevent one from the process of physical aging.
Jenkins, the Library’s Caretaker is one such person. And he had been little more than a boy when he had drunk from the Holy Grail. The Librarians do not know this. (Flynn Carsen might). Their Guardian does not know this.
He does not want them to know this. The vampire that throws a revelation potion at him on a whim during the fight does not care.
.
.
A simple vampire case turns out to be much more than that. But Jenkins had promised to protect the Librarians in their Guardian’s absence, and he will if it’s the last thing he does, even if there are a few unexpected obstacles along the way. Or, S3E8 with a small twist.Series

"Mister Qui-Gon said that he foresees me becoming a great Jedi Knight," the boy tells him. "What does foresee mean?"
Obi-Wan sits down across from him. Might as well indulge the boy. "To foresee something is to...is to picture a potential future, in one's mind. To see a likely path that someone or something may go down."
"What do you see in me?" Anakin asks.
