Summary

Penknife is an active-duty Turk in and around Shinra tower.But with the Heir of Shinra due to graduate and return, Penknife needs to be ready to step back into an identity he hasn't lived in for years, and he needs a partner to play the role of his bodyguard.
He knows who he'd like; a certain prickly trooper the Turks have had their eye on for a while. The accidental dip Cloud took in a mako pool is not a deterrent. -

"Speak, Megatron. Explain yourself," Optimus commanded without a second thought. He didn't have the bandwidth right now to properly deal with Megatron's schemes, especially not one that had been clearly brewing for a year.
"So, uh, I'm not a villain anymore," Megatron slowly said. "I've turned a new leaf, y'know?" There was a pause. "…Villainy doesn't have a lot of money in it after all the bribes."
Awkward silence fell over them.
"You seriously think that I would fall for that lie? I don't have time for your games, Megatron," Optimus snapped after a moment's hesitation. He began to drive again. "Is this call even real, or have you hacked into the system to set up some sick trap?"
"It's not fake, the emergency is real," Megatron said, voice crackling over the comm. "You know what? How about we deal with this after the mission."
"I'll deal with you after this mission," said Optimus, a growl escaping into his voice.
"Yeah, sure, why not," Megatron mumbled. The sound wasn't clear over the comm.

Ember had but a moment to let go as Danny whipped around and snapped bared teeth (holy shit, fangs) just a millimeter from her nose. The sharp clack of his teeth startled a gasp out of her. His eyes were glowing dangerously. Two bright pools of ectoplasm with the tiniest pin prick of a white pupil. He looked scary. Scarily strong. Scarily sharp.
