He felt unsure. He trusted the guardians to back him up in a fight, but he was sure just how much he trusted them outside of that. Can he trust them to still want him around if they found out about all his insecurities and issues?
What about his other job? What if they found out about that? They surely would despise him for being a shepherd. After all, it's the Guardians' job to protect children and their childhood. They would despise him for being one who has to cut them short.

Summary
Feb 6 2026 Update: Prequel overhaul is complete and online. SoN is underway, 32k in and fully outlined, predicted 200k+ I won't start posting until I've got it written to the final fight.
Percy has been seeing the past and the future all his life. When he was seven and about to die, he called out to Apollo for help. Apollo brought his brand new baby prophet to his oldest living son, Lee Fletcher, to care for. From there the events of Percy Jackson and The Olympians unfold, both similar to, but also entirely different from canon. Most of the characters' ages have been changed, new backstories added and much of this stories explores the complexity of people and gods.
Prequel: ‘You’re a Demigod, Percy’ = 7yo Percy’s first few months at camp.

Or, my Percy Jackson/DC crossover because there are both a lot but not enough fics.
Mainly focuses on the bat-side of his life since we already know what happens in the demigod side. A few fics will be in other characters POV but it’s mostly in Percy’s.

An uncontacted demigod is moving into monster infested Gotham. Can Tim get them to Camp without running into Red Hood?
"Tim braced the shaft of his spear between the hinges of its jaw, barely preventing it from biting off his head. Tim’s body became alight with pain as the hellhound’s claws began to dig into his shoulder. He was only half aware of the sound of gunshots, preoccupied with the hellhound on top of him. Suddenly, the weight disappeared and Tim was spitting out dust.
Tim sat up, dumbfounded by the sight that greeted him: Jason Todd in a red hoodie holding a pair of flaming swords with the most baffled look on his face."
Reading the entire series is not required, but I heavily recommend reading Family Reunion for context.

Izuku looked at the small circle Aizawa had motioned to in front of them.
"I won't fit," he whispered, thinking. He raised his hand, tentatively.
Sighing, Aizawa grumbled, "What?"
"I-I have a question. Actually, two."
His teacher just stared at him, unimpressed.
Izuku continued.
"Can we activate our quirks before we step into the ring?"
Aizawa looked up into the sky, muttering something Izuku didn't hear. "If you must."
"O-Okay. Uh, second question. You said we have to stay inside the circle, right?"
"Yes." The man looked disappointed, not only in Izuku but in himself for letting the kid speak.
