Summary
Herrah the Beast has found the realm of dreams to be a boring, if a terribly oppressive prison. Other than the other two dreamers (who she often ends up finding insufferable), there's little to do but wait and watch the world continue past her. Without her.
But every so often, a woman unlike any bug she's ever seen will appear. Tall, with white fur, warm eyes and no mask. She's quiet, but she's new.And through conversation, Herrah finds that they are similar in a way she hasn't bonded with anyone over before. They are both a mother, and simultaneously a queen.
And there's a guilt that grips them because of it.

Surge shows up in Lanolin's office window with three bottles of alcohol and an excited grin on her lips.

Kay and Lang are working undercover to retrieve a set of stolen weapons plans from a major international gang. They eventually track the plans down to LA and, while trying to steal the plans back, run into Nick, another person working undercover who is after the same plans. Nick claims to be a defense attorney who needs the plans for a client but Kay and Lang aren't entirely sure what to make of him.
Kay/Lang and Phoenix all go undercover at the same place and run into each other without knowing who the other is. Hijinks ensue.
