Bruce gave him a flat look.
“Or maybe I think I can help.”
“With a case of vandalism?”
Clark stepped in front of him. “It’s not vandalism and you know it, detective.”
“And what makes you say that?”
“If it were vandalism it would be something a lot more juvenile. To the point. It wouldn’t claim there were seventeen missing kids. That’s public outcry.”
“Is that so?”
“That and I tried to do a story on the growing number of homeless children last month and I got shut down. According to the last count, the numbers have been decreasing, but there’s been no change in policies, no extra funding to CPS, or shelters, or even an increase in the number of inmates in the juvenile detention center. So where are they going?”
Detective Bruce Wayne may have the highest solve rate in Gotham, but if he wants to solve this case, he’ll need the help of an elusive street kid, and while Dick Grayson always lands on his feet, he usually lands himself right into trouble.

Summary
With Jason gone, Batman and Robin are stretched too thin. New villains seem to be arriving — or returning — almost every day. Gotham is left in a constant state of restoration. And the truce between Bruce and his two eldest sons is tenuous at best, and dangerously volatile at worst.
It would be the absolute worst time for his youngest to be abducted.
Or: Dick finds himself at the mercy of the older brother he didn’t know he had.
Saving himself might just mean saving Damian, too.

Summary
Dickie had hoped that he’d have more time with Damian before being once again ripped away from his caretaker.
If Damian dies, there won’t be anyone left. Alfred won’t take him back and there’s no way that Tim or Jason would have the time nor care to take him in after their big brother deemed him unfit. Bruce isn’t here to keep him out of foster care this time. If he thought that transitioning from his home to a big cushy manor were hard then he’ll never survive an orphanage or wherever it is that they send unwanted little boys.
There’s no time for a new plan. Damian has to go. And Dickie has to stay.

Summary
Starscream had lost a lot before the war. Sunbeam. His sparkling. Starscream had long since lost hope that his sparkling was alive. Sunbeam had died in the ruins of Vos, and Starscream would never see him.
B-127 had been born before the war. He did not have anything left to lose by the time war broke out. Raised underground in energon mines, B-127 had not even gotten to grow into his true colors. Optimus Prime has saved him from the mines; there was never a need to look back.
