Summary
Series that started because a computer got removed from my workplace network and one of the other PCs was set up to send a PING to that missing computer for some reasons, resulting in a lot of "Network Unreachable" Errors in a log file. My brain just connected some dots and ran with it.
Or: Hub is dead, Megaman is alive and he and Lan are having feelings. Also Lan is a teenager and deserves to say Fuck now and then. Featuring a Dr. Hikari that slowly realized that therapy would have been a better idea than grief-stricken coding and a very Japanese-like work culture, other Navis that are very much confused, other humans are that confused (and surprisingly incompetent with online stuff despite their society relying a LOT on online-stuff), an evil organization that is totally not the WWW, the existence of Asimov and a timeline that is MOSTLY the Game-timeline but got juiced for the convenient bits with some Manga and Anime points thrown in and other stuff thrown out.

And it just so happens to drag our reluctant heroes into BNHA to different locations. The big difference? Summary

Something still stirred in the dark.
Dr. Jack Bright, Dr. Alto Clef, and another MTF operative from Zeta-9 are sent to investigate in the wake of their disappearances. As they enter, they quickly realize the facility is riddled with non-Euclidean geometry, cognitohazards, and an unsettling presence that watches their every move. The deeper they go, the clearer it becomes that Playtime Co. was not just a toy company. It was something much worse.
With the factory shifting around them, its mechanical horrors lurking in the shadows, and an unknown force actively working against them, the team is faced with an impossible task: uncover the truth, escape with their sanity, and—if necessary—contain whatever they find.
