What if...at the end of End Game, instead of going back alone, Steve takes Bucky back with him to the 1940s to resume their former life. Steve's sure they will be happy there. Bucky didn't want to go, was happy in Wakanda. The Winter Soldier didn't want to go either, but Bucky tries not to listen to him. Now Bucky lives across the street from his best friend he's been crushing on his whole life, watching him live out his fantasy of being married to Peggy Carter. He can't live like this.
