Lesso grumbled in frustration. “Why are you working out here? Instead of your usual gym?”
“Why do you think I have a usual gym?”
She readjusted the weight on my arm and I let out a pained breath, fuck was she hot. “I’m not daft, Stark. You don’t get a body like yours from not working out somewhere.”
My grin returned. “Noticed my body huh?” flirting with your prof? Bad idea. Flirting with your prof while you were still underage for a good three months? An even worse idea. Good thing I was always here for bad ideas.-------

“I’m so glad you’re back as well”, Andy pulled back enough to look at me and put a hand on my cheek . “You’re in pain, Ari and the only reason that keeps me from murdering Riko is you.”
“Good thing that I’m not going anywhere then”, I smiled, but I knew it didn’t reach all the way to my eyes.
Andy sighed and rested her forehead against mine. “Can you please tell me what happened?”
That was a terrible idea. Andy had already admitted to wanting to murder Noriko. If I told her what Noriko had said, how she had hurt me, Andy wouldn’t stop. I averted my gaze. “It doesn’t matter.”
“Of course it matters”, Andy’s anger flared over my skin hotter than the sun.
I pursed my lips.
“Your pain matters to me, Ari.”
I flinched away so violently, that I actually put a good half a metre between us. Andy had very effectively put a hot iron rod in my wound and now I was on fire.
“Fuck”, Andy hissed, her hands hovering but not quite touching me. “Noriko!” she marched past me.

“Hey little Lark. Nice for you to call”, Cipher picked up instantly. Actually she never not picked up a call from me. I just never called.
“Hi love”, I spotted the second man on the other side of the street next to an average car. “Are you having me followed?”
“What?” she tried for casual and failed, because if she hadn’t had me followed she’d instantly be shooting threethousand questions at me about where I was, if I was safe and why I thought I was being followed. If Cipher thought I was in danger, she’d never leave it at a ‘what’. Trying so hard for a normal reaction and instead being too normal.
“Hmh, okay, good to know. Cipher, what happened to trusting me?” I sat down on the little window sill bench now that I had confirmation I wasn’t about to get murdered.
“I trust you, I just don’t trust anyone else.”
Of course, she’d say something like that.---
