Summary
The smile on Hizashi’s face twitches at the sound of Izuku’s stutter, but he doesn’t comment on it. Instead, he grasps Izuku’s chin between his fingers and tilts it so they meet eye to eye, honeyed hazel to widened green. “Are you still hungry?”
The words themselves are innocuous. It’s the meaning behind them that weighs heavily in Izuku’s stomach on top of everything he’s already consumed tonight. There are multiple ways he can respond, but only one true answer he can give.
“I’m starving,” he breathes.
Hizashi and Shouta fill Izuku up in every way that they can.

Summary
Around the dawn of quirks, amidst the chaos caused by the rapid rise of meta-abilities in the general population, a deadly virus emerged. Orthopoxvirus metapotentia, more commonly known as the Kutsuki virus, directly attacked those with the newly mutated genetic code for meta-abilities in their DNA. Millions lost their lives to the ensuing global pandemic before a cure could be discovered.
Now, decades later, the Kutsuki virus is considered a thing of the past, due to the commonplace immunization of everyone.
…Well, almost everyone. While highly unethical, some medical practitioners began denying vaccination against the disease to the biologically quirkless, deeming it a waste of both supplies and man hours.
After all, it’s not like someone diagnosed as quirkless can somehow develop a quirk anyway.

It's his second year at UA, and Shinsou is finally, finally, transferring to the hero course. He's ready, he thinks, or hopes— either way, it doesn't matter, 'cause he's going to show everyone he's got what it takes. And it also doesn't matter that the longer he spends in the program, the more he can't stop thinking about a certain freckled wannabe-friend, and the more he's noticing that a certain stoic classmate is paying him a lot more attention than he'd like.
Whatever. Irrelevant. He's here to be a hero, not make friends. Even if they would be the first ones he's made in...ever. But it's his second year, and he's going to make it count by focusing on what's important.
His name is Shinsou Hitoshi, and he's going to be a goddamn hero.

“If you want to find someone, you should go do it.” The words were sour on Hizashi's tongue, but he knew it was the right thing to say. With one caveat. “Tomorrow, though, when it’s not my birthday! You’re not allowed to blow me off tonight, no matter how hot the guy is,” he joked, hoping that Aizawa wouldn’t recognize the emotions underneath.
Of course, because Aizawa could never simply appreciate the sacrifices Hizashi made for him, he just sighed and frowned. “I don’t think it’ll work like that for me,” he said. “Nobody would be… interested.”
“Uhhh, have you seen yourself? I mean, after a shower, not after three solid days of patrolling and sleeping in alleys. You’re hot, man.”
“It’s not about that, it’s… never mind.”
Ok, now Hizashi was curious. “What?”
“Nothing.”
“Come oonnnn, you can tell me! What are best friends for!”
“It’s… personal.”

Summary
Midoriya Izuku was once Quirkless. But it's ok now, he has a powerful Quirk and a whole group of people to support him.
When Midoriya is kidnapped by villains, he thinks it's for his Quirk. It begins as a hostage situation- he's merely one of UA's students that would land the villains a hefty ransom. But the longer Midoriya is stuck with his captors, the more he cannot ignore his past. His morals constantly tested, Midoriya just wants to make it out of this experience alive, and his faith in hero society still intact.
Shinsou Hitoshi has a villainous Quirk. But it's ok now, he is being trained by Aizawa-sensei and fighting to become a member of the Hero Course at UA.
When he hears Midoriya has been kidnapped, Shinsou doesn't know how to feel. He barely knows the guy, having only fought him at the Sport's Festival, but wishes for his safe return. Shinsou doesn't expect his past to come surging forward and land him in the middle of Midoriya's case.
With their pasts at stake, both Midoriya and Shinsou are reminded how fiercely the pieces of a shattered system can fight back.
