Zhongli hadn't the slightest clue as to whether it was his imagination or not, but Childe had never once looked at him with such eyes, or smiled at him in such a way.
Furthermore, with Teucer around, Childe seemed to laugh and smile more often. And that was enough to rouse and stir something dark and foreboding and feral in the pit of Zhongli.
In other words, at that point, Zhongli would come to terms that he was beyond jealous - he was enraged.
And it was on this particular afternoon that Zhongli had opted to finally make these feelings known - to both Childe and Teucer.
The saliva of an adeptus could potentially double as a powerful aphrodisiac - though of course, Childe wasn’t aware of such a thing. That is, not until today.

He had drunk a whole bottle of firewater himself, because she didn’t care for the taste.
“Uh, not particularly.” He said, only remembering the wicked hangover he had the next morning.
“About halfway through the bottle, you started gushing over Zhongli. Like you wouldn’t stop telling me how much you love him.” She said, a teasing grin starting to emerge on her face.
“No, I didn’t do that. Not me, couldn’t be me.” Childe crossed his arms in defense.
“No, you did. I wish I could forget about it, because a few shots later you wouldn’t stop talking about how big his d--”
He covered her mouth with his hands.
“I’ll give you double your weekly Guild commission if we never talk about my sex life ever again.” He said, face a vivid shade of red.

Childe nods, shoulders shaking inwards with the cold air nipping his nose and hands. He had forgotten how absolutely numbing it was to be inside the throne room. “Yes, Your Majesty.”
She surveys him quizzically, her chilly eyes trailing down his figure, surmising him. She focuses intently on his eyes, or more specifically, the makeup painted underneath them, the deep and rich red color standing out starkly against Childe's pale flesh.

"I see Morax has placed his Archon stamp on you, essentially marking you as his own. A dragon’s tendencies never seem to fade.” She sighs loudly, eyes rolling.
Childe sits there, stunned. What in Tevyat is she talking about? “W-What?” he sputters hopelessly.
