The first time their lips touched, Thomas had had to reach out, because Edwin had almost keeled over, utterly shocked. It’d been so long since he’d felt something good touch his skin. And Charles had said it when he’d kissed Crystal that first time, he could feel it in his head, if not on his lips. But when Thomas had touched Edwin, it was warm, and urgent, and he’d felt it in every inch of his body and his mind. Before any real feelings for the ruler besides a deep sense of friendship and appreciation, it was the lure of touch, of real skin on skin brushes, of pleasure, that kept putting Edwin on his path even though the bracelet was long gone, and the deal, dealt.

Edwin and The Cat King have engaged in a casual intimate relationship. Well, it's casual for Edwin, because the Cat King is actually pretty deep in this already. Each time they have sex, the ghost leaves without much in terms of tender touches or aftercare, and each time, breaks a little more of the King's heart in the process. Summary
Thomas is exhausted. The day has been shit, he's had two three-hours train rides in the span of eight hours total, and his suitcase is packed enough to kill his back every time he's had to lift it in stairs or because the cobbled stones made the lugging it behind him way too loud. He's sweaty and gross, and can't wait to come back home, shower, then shove his boyfriend on the couch to snuggle against him and complain about his work trip having been postponed while he was on the fucking train, and two hours and a half away already. Thankfully, he can come home to his boyfriend and cat, who will, hopefully, not have murdered each other in the eight hours he's been out.
He can't believe what he finds when he comes home. If anyone told him about it, he would have laughed in their faces, and called them an idiot to everyone he knows. As it is, he might just use it as blackmail material instead.

“I have a few questions for you, if you could grant me a few moments of your time ?” The ghost comes strolling from the mirror in a shirt and slacks, sleeves rolled up to show very enticing forearms, without a care in the world for either the cold he cannot feel or Thomas’ self-control.
The Cat King turns his face toward Edwin, who is so much closer than he usually is.
“Uh… Okay ? shoot, I guess?”
This is indulgent and strange. When Edwin comes, he usually makes his visits known in advance and Thomas has the place a little more prepared for him. There is always a chair, for him to sit in, more decadent than his own throne : upholstered in a pine velvet, dark old wood shining with polish and magic.

Edwin has a very specific wooing plan in mind, something Thomas is very unaware of and very unprepared for, but it is said that Christmas time is a great time to start building a relationship. Charles says it all cool and collected, but he's cut Thomas off and looks way too into the idea. So. Fish clearly hooked. Crystal looks amused by her boyfriend’s eager reaction. Thomas isn't looking at Edwin—whom, by the by, knows perfectly well what DnD is, a fact Thomas is well aware of, even though he was a little surprised to realize it.

Thomas devises a devious plan to make his boyfriend happy. It might mean making one Charles Rowland happy, but that is not too hard a feat, when you know what the boy likes. Thomas knows, for example, he used to play Dungeons and Dragons a lifetime ago. That, he can work with.

Sitting politely on the bed, hands tucked between his knees and watching Thomas doll himself up had been a little grounding. His King did help him out first, using magic to right everything, from fixing his face and hair to putting on clothes and shoes. Small mercies, probably. Deep breaths helped as well. The minute movement making the plug trail against his black wool pants and shift, rock, drag excruciatingly against the walls of his ass and slide, (slick with the King's come securely held in place and, in Edwin's fucked up mind at least, sloshing around a little with each too sharp movement), brush against his prostate, adding a new layer of stars to the ones already polluting his sight, has Edwin close to whimpering almost constantly, and the ghost has absolutely no doubts about the fact Th—his King has chosen a rough material for his pants to make it harder on him still. Well at least he actually looks proper, even if he is anything but. And they still have that party to go to.

Edwin doesn’t register much until he gets a facefull of clean bedlinens, the silk cooling his heated skin perfectly ; his content sigh is muffled by the soft and fluffy duvet. With a soft laugh and even softer hands, his lover helps him get on his back, which is a great feat he probably wouldn’t manage on his own right this instant. His mind is so pleasantly blank, fuzzy around the edges, silent and warm right now he doesn’t even wonder if he is being made fun of for his wobbling and general uselessness at the moment. There isn’t a second during which he entertains the possibility of a little residual cruelty in Thomas’ almost boyish laughter, both because he knows him, trusts him enough to be convinced it would never happen in the bedroom, outside of their games, but also because he just feels way too good to even question that unwavering certainty.

He just came. He made sure to push his lover toward the edge, but never over it.

Five seconds do tick by in a silence filled by a deep, harsh breath trying to settle itself again, by another who’s tempo’s not done picking up yet. It’s agonizingly slow and terrifyingly fast. It’s stubborn and the silent countdown is only broken by a delighted chuckle and the kicking off of purring.

Niko really wants to help Edwin. He's had a bad fight with Crystal, so he's feeling bad, and she doesn't like seeing him like this. Only thing is, she knows how to deal with anxiety the human way, not the ghost way. Not the way where self-soothing methods don't work because bodily functions don't work either. So she ropes Thomas in her scheme. It's a two cats one sardine situation really, because Edwin will feel better, and also Edwin might realize Thomas would be an amazing boyfriend ? She's got hope, ideas and a ducky PJs so nothing can stop her now. Well, except maybe Edwin himself, if he's feeling too bad to be vulnerable in front of his crush, but she'll glitter bomb that bridge when she'll come to it.

Created for DBDA Creature Week Day 01 : Divine & Infernal Beings
The Dead Boy Detectives Agency left him on his own in Port Townsend, went back home to London never to come back again, and Thomas made the really poor decision of getting Edwin's sould back, whatever it takes.
It takes a lot, actually. Especially since, y'know, the idiots did came back and are very much a part of the Cat King's life, now. So he's gonna have to deal with the demons, protect Edwin from it, and possibly pay a hefty price to make sure his ghost gets the afterlife he deserves.
He's pretty sure he can take it.---
After a week of being warded off of Port Townsend, Edwin can finally mirror travel back there again. He's not ready for what he is going to see. He is not ready for what he is going to have to do.

What if Crystal was secretely a genius ? She's good at reading people, in any case, and she realized Edwin would probably enjoy indulging in his control issues... by playing God on the Sims.
Edwin keeps pushing the Cat King away, despite them being friends now. Despite Thomas constantly being around, being part of the Agency, trying to win him over with his charming personality. But he doesn't need to be won over. He's already been. Only it's easier having their Sims have a relationship than being in an actual relationship. So that's what he does. He makes Sim Cat King and Sim Edwin kiss. A lot. Because he's not doing the kissing himself, but some kissing needs to happen if he wants to stay soudn of mind.
Mods are involved. Sex mods are involved. But it's fine. It's research. It's not an issue. Noone will ever know.
