Directly in front of him, where the forge once stood, lay the broken helm of a Nite Owl, a shock of red hair lying just beyond it.
“Bo!” He cried her name, desperate to see her move as his heart cracked within his chest. “BO!”
Failure.
The word slithered through his mind as some of the fight left him. He stared at that mane of red, at the broken beskar helmet he knew so well, and felt part of him unravel.
