Curt groaned. “You're actually mad about the handcuff thing, aren't you?” He tried to catch Owen's eye with a patented kicked puppy look, but no dice. Owen was actually sliding out of his lap, and settling down on his knees in between Curt's legs. “That, or– you just like hearing me suffer, you maniac.”
“I do so enjoy watching you squirm, yes.” Owen said. Having this raven-haired beauty, all lean muscle and old scars, kneeling in front of him, was a sight for sore eyes. That expression on his face, a predator’s gaze blinking up at him through full eyelashes, promising to tear him apart with that coyly smiling mouth, was even more enthralling. Curt released a shuddering breath, and saw that look sharpen – in deference to giving Owen what he wanted, he turned it into a moan, rolling his head back dramatically.

Summary
A particularly tragic case has left Robby low. Jack comes over to raise his spirits, and though Robby is one secretive son of a bitch when it comes to his own feelings, everything seems like it will be okay.
Later, the unthinkable happens. The attempt leaves Robby in the hospital and Jack scrambling to make sense of it all. He would've preferred Robby shoot him stone-cold dead.
As he starts the long road to recovery, Robby and Jack wrestle with the aftermath. Not only dealing with the devastation of his partner trying to take his own life, Jack struggles with his moral obligations as a doctor, a friend, and a partner. Robby wants to continue to be a pillar for his family to depend on, but has to come to terms with the fact that he cannot be an island forever.Bookmarked by Quati
