Summary
There’s a third passenger using their body. For Steven, the gaps of missing time – and dealing with Marc’s poor coping skills - are bad enough. And then Marc seems to disappear entirely.
He takes stock of his body. Nothing broken, no blood on his hands. Small victories. He’s wearing one of Marc’s dark jackets but, more strangely, he’s got a flat cap on his head that he doesn’t recognize from their wardrobe. He takes it off and shoves it into the jacket pocket.
“Marc?” he tries again, pushing himself to his feet. A young man is playing with his dog on the grass nearby.
Steven closes his eyes and nudges the place in his mind that he and Marc share. There’s no pushback in response, no one to step forward and take over. There’s nothing at all.

“Do you remember me?” There’s a gloating quality to this man’s voice, and Steven decidedly hates it. “Two years ago. Amsterdam. You ruined my entire operation in one night, but you made one mistake, Spector, you know that? You know what it was?”
“This is a rhetorical question, isn’t it?”
“It was fucking me—”
“Absolutely not,” Steven interrupts. “Marc’s standards are higher than that.”
His head gets snapped back for that, a swift punch to his jaw sending hot jolts of pain down his face. He is definitely going to bruise. It’s still kind of worth it.

Summary
A lot of people think that the inside of a body is where the soul exists. The skin is just a mask, a mortal host for the free spirit on the inside. Dazai knows better. Out of the countless bodies he has seen bleed to death not once has the inside been pretty. Red, the inside of the human body is red, a colour that in nature signals danger. You aren’t supposed to feel at ease when your field of view starts to turn red, but how come that is the only time Dazai can actually breathe.

An especially though fight with the cake hounds leaves Espresso to crumble mid combat but to his (mis)fortune they have the revival token at hand. The rush of the adrenaline made them continue with the fight, having no time to heal up their friend unless they want to risk another one of their members crumble which brings a small amounts of side effects, albeit most of it being mental.

Dazai’s eyes drop to the phone held in Ranpo’s tight grip to the uncompromising set of his jaw, mentally weighting his options.
“That’s fair,” he huffs, holding up his palm in a ‘gimme’ motion. “I guess if it’s Ranpo-san, I can make an exception.”
Or, Ranpo is the only member of the Agency Dazai is not allowed to ignore or hang up on. Naturally, when the day finally comes, Ranpo knows, with inevitable dread, to expect the worst. He's right to.
