Summary
After Hannibal leaves Will’s house in Digestivo, he is left for hours alone with nothing more than the cold snow and his pain to deal with. As he waits for Jack and decides his next course of action, he lets himself wander around his mind palace, and his internal turmoil, mixed with the freezing weather, make him unconsciously open the doors he hasn’t opened in years, causing him to relive the trauma and go mute, as he once did as a kid.

"I thought storms weren't evil," Will reminded him with a tired smile. "Acts of God, you said."
The gentle jab didn't go down as expected. Hannibal raised his eyes. He looked gaunt with exhaustion, eyes sunken but sharp as ever, concerned gaze drilling into Will like diamonds. His top lip curled. Almost snarling.
"That label is reserved for anything and anyone that threatens to separate us."
Will and Hannibal recover together on a boat post-fall, and learn how to live with each other in the process.

Summary
“What happened Will? Are you in pain?” Hannibal asked, stepping out of the kitchen, stopping in front of him, worry written all over his face.
“I think it’s my cheek. It has been healing well recently, I don’t know what happened.” Will muttered, each word sending another wave of pain through him. “I’ll take painkillers. It’ll be fine. You shouldn’t worry about me, you still haven’t fully recovered yourself.”
“Don’t be ridiculous,” Hannibal replied, already dismissing the idea. “I am a Doctor, after all.” He gently examined the wound, ignoring any protest.
“I doubt you still have your medical license.” Will replied, a soft smile tugging at his lips.

Summary
Will didn’t plan on surviving the fall, let alone cohabiting with Hannibal. Yet here they are, build shelter and divide chores. Turns out nothing strengthens a relationship like mutual near-death and playing house. They even named their dog after him.
