Summary
Kaveh is a male omega- an extremely rare identity, one to be treasured. Or so he thought.
After too many experiences with handsy alphas Kaveh becomes disillusioned with societal expectations for omegas. He then comes up with a rather drastic plan: ask Alhaitham to mate him. Surprisingly Alhaitham agrees. But romance grows and they have to navigate their complicated feelings and explore their own romantic and sexual identities.

""What do you-" he paused as his junior pulled his chair back from the table and proceeded to kneel in front of Kaveh.
Just the sight of Alhaitham gazing up at him, flushed face, kneeling between his legs was enough to make his blood rush south. Alhaitham allows his hands to rest on Kaveh’s knees but makes no further move, waiting on his partner’s response. Kaveh swallows and then nods his approval, spreading his legs even further apart."
In which Alhaitham notices Kaveh is stressed and sleep deprived and comes up with the perfect solution.

Alhaitham and Kaveh try to unlock a mystery machine that Cyno and Tighnari found outside of the city by combining their elemental energy, leading to... unexpected effects.
“Hm... dangerous?” Kaveh asked, tracing a line of text with his fingertip.
Alhaitham shook his head. “Not dangerous. Just... difficult. The one or two successful records are described as -” he hesitated as he scanned the opposite page quickly. Intimate. Overwhelming. Like two souls intertwining. He snapped the book shut before Kaveh could read that far and cleared his throat again, more gruffly this time. “- a challenge.”
Stretching his arms above his head, Kaveh set his wrench down on their coffee table and straightened. “Well, let’s try it. If it doesn’t work, we’ll stop. Simple.”
